Hi,

An unusual VDM blade (Flugel). 9-12120. This part is not listed in the VDM documents that I have. The number would indicate an approx 1941/42 design. Possibly, it is a development that was not used in full production. Beyond that, 9-12120 is not listed as a blade design in the inventory.
It is not listed a Bf 109 blade of any type.
So, sorry no better info. However, it is a VDM designed blade of about 1941/42 design, probably a development. Note, the stylised manufacturer's trademark stamped under the 9-12120.

Hi again,

Just another observation about the blade type and numbering. The number is not shown as precisely as is usual for the VDM Blade. It looks as though the dash ( - ) that normally follows the number 9 is missing. Also, the VDM blades usually have a final number after the main number, with a full-stop to show. So the initial detail standard of a blade type would be stamped 9-12120.10 in this case. Further variations would be subsequent numbers, ie .11 or .12 etc.
So this example shown is unusual.
I have further trawled the documents and have not had any success. I will add that, the VDM listing of propellers has many large gaps in the number series, that probably illustrates
the large number of designs and prototypes that did not reach production .
Hopefully, someone will find reference to the 9-12120 propeller for you.

Greetings,
I may have missed it, but the apparent Hersteller code "nmt" = Ratier, Montrouge, 97, Route Chatillon, bei Paris [FR].
