Hello everyone, my first post here.

A coworker asked me for help. He thought I might be able to help him because I am an aeronautical engineer and have worked in aircraft maintenance. Fact is I have no idea what this might be.
This is what it is all about;
A friend of his brought him this piece (look pictures below) which he got from his father who retrieve it in 1945 from a B24 crash site. It looks like some kind of guide for an axis, this is as far as my guess go.
Do any of you guys here maybe know what this part might be?
Does a B24 maintenance manual with part list exist and it is possible to get it somewhere online?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hello,
Go to aircorpslibrary.com for maintenance manuals and parts lists. You have to join as a paid member to view and download drawings and manuals.

Zidak, I have a hard copy of the B-24 Parts Catalog which I am selling (that and other manuals). If you are interested email (I prefer paper copy over digital due to old eyes
