Hello, thank you for allowing me to join this forum.
I am in possession of a propeller blade which has been in my family for about 58 years. The quick back story is, my father was helping a German lady move from a flat above theirs on Leeds after her husband had passed. The blade was standing in the corner, and the lady asked my father if he would like it.
She told him it was scavenged from a downed Spitfire in the Second World War by her husband.
After all this time I have started to wonder if it was a Spitfire or from another aircraft and wondered if it was possible to tag it to an aircraft. I cannot see any serial numbers or markings and my limited knowledge thinks it's a variable pitch blade which may put it outside of the second world war.
I will upload some photographs and thank you for any guidance you may be able to offer.
Kind regards,
Steve

Please upload your pictures again. It would be helpful if these were larger. Also a shot of the entire blade could be useful.

Hello Wurger,
Yes I posted this message back in April by replying to an existing thread as I did not know how to ask multiple members or one specific expert:
If you could add members who you think maybe able to help or let me know how to do it would be great.
Yes I will re load the photographs and one of the whole blade.
Thank you again for your help,
Steve
