A campaign is underway to save English Electric Lightning XR713, which is currently awaiting disposal at RAF Leuchars in Scotland.

Let's hope it happens. The thing is, This Lightning and Black Mike - the Treble One Sqn Phantom, Plus the phantom on the gate at Leuchars - and if there are any frames left there from the park near the 43 Sqn HAS, means that Leuchars itself could have a Station Heritage Flight comprising aircraft significant to its long and proud history. I wonder if this could tie into what the fate of the station is?
