Now, as I couldn't find some info I was looking for, I want to ask you, the experts, about some regiments of the Soviet Airforce. In fact, I want to ask about a lot of regiments, but I think that would be a little (in a bad meaning) forward, so I'll start step by step.
1.First, what dos it mean for a Regiment to have two kind of planes?

Do you get assigned to a plane? You get to choose? You can fly both? Were there mixed wings or flights?
2. Do you have some info on the post war planes of 511th IAP of the VVS?
