Been lurking around here for a few weeks looking at the fantastic 3D modelling work on the Douglas Dauntless by Witold Jarwoski.

I spent 22 years in the RAF as an engineer working on many types including the Argosy, Vulcan, Victor, Buccaneer and Hawk. I left the RAF in 1990 and then worked as an engineer in a couple of firms specialising in the design and manufacture of automated machines for non-destructive testing of safety critical parts.

I have been into aero modelling on and off throughout my life, but I'm currently building a flying 1/7th scale SBD-5 which I'm hoping will be truer representation of the real thing than many others I've seen.
