I know where some P-51's and B-17's are buried. My Dad told me the story when I was 8 yrs old, now I'm 62,

Hi, in '68 my Dad took me Quail hunting at the spot where a bunch of B-17's and P-51's were bull dozed into a pit and buried, In the mid '50's He was a MP guarding the tarmac in North Texas when a Tornado sucked a bunch planes down the runway, He held onto a plane Tie Down ring and was almost Toast, (before I was born). Later He saw them bulldoze into a large pit and buried, neat story, I know exactly where it is, you can see it on google earth/maps. So I'm 62 now and disabled. So It would be nice to have someone check it out before I die again. I bet a bunch of those Plane parts are still good, email me sometime, I'm the only person alive who knows where they are buried.

Hi and welcome.

As i do not know you i have no reason not to believe. But in the not to long a history there were made many claim about aircraft being burried be it in crates or what have you.
Even gold nazi loot was a thing a bit back.

So i hope you will not be offended as this will be frowned on.

Ignore him....I'm in....When do we go

Thank you Captain Buzz Kill.

Then you have to buy 2 holy piles of dirt, 3 shovels and a mouthwash of choice.
Only then and after paying a heft some of green money you may get a holy relic.

Not impossible to have aircraft scrapped out after a tornado.
Carswell AFB had a large number of SAC bombers damaged by a tornado and the same for Tinker AFB, just to name a few.

The damaged beyond repair aircraft have to go somewhere...

Carswell was a SAC base in the late 40's, thru 1992. Only B-36's, B-52's, B-58's and KC-135's were assigned there, besides various jet fighters. Consolidated and it's succeeding companies have been at the production facility on the west side of the field since it was built. B-24's, B-32's and B-36's were all produced there. Mustangs were built in the NAA facility in Grand Prairie, about 30 miles away. NAA left that location right after the war and Chance Vought moved in.

At the time of the 1952 tornado, any B-17's or P-51's would have been transient aircraft. SAC bases were highly unfriendly to transient aircraft, so the probability of there being more than one or two being there at the time is very low.

Couple of things don't quite tie-up here. Might be a genuine entry but somehow I doubt it.

So he's 62yo as of yesterday but back 1968 when his dad took him hunting...he was 8. That don't quite figure out as he should be 63 but maybe it's old age related :).

Pretty much everything is visible on Google.

I doubt he is the only living person who knows where this is and records would exist with the relevant details in any airfield / airport history so available for those who know how to search.

And perhaps more importantly, if you were the sole keeper of this invaluable information...why would you let it be known in a first post on an Forum where you are a complete unknown...would you not do a bit of homework and reach out to specialist teams / agencies / hunters etc in the first place ?

And before he dies again, send him an email (No e-mail addy provided) sometime...so clearly no rush !

My advice to Cptnbob is introduce himself properly and get to be known as genuine person before coming out with unsubstantiated claims because as of right at this moment he has no credibility.

And if any-one is interested, I have a bunch of '51 parts buried in my back yard from OMT :)
