can someone help me find the chemical compound of the C-3 100 octane fuel used in the Messerschmitt 109F-4? I'm trying to figure out how much CO2 would be released if the Messerschmitt burned all its fuel in a flight.
Aviation gasoline is not just one compound but a mixture of many different molecules.
German C3 100 octane avgas was rather rich in aromatics, so I would estimate that it contained about 86 wt% carbon and 14 wt% hydrogen.
That should enable you to calculate the resulting CO2 released.
I've collected a few test results through some decades that might give you the answers your looking for. They are in my google drive and you can get them through this link. Have fun!
