Maestro

Master Sergeant
Greetings ladies and gentlemen.

As many of you know, I'm a security officer. I completed a private security degree in college allowing me to work either as a security officer or a private investigator. In that course, I was told so basic self-defence (hand-to-hand and (in the case of an armed opponent) using a PR-24 or expandable baton) and how to use handcuffs.

However, I was never told that kind of very useful techniques to beat the sh*t out of an armed attacker with my bare hands.

Like I feel it would be useful for many of us, here are a few videos made by a Korean instructor... That guy ROCKS !

Enjoy !

They look like Aikido moves. Was taught a few of them at the Police Academy and private classes. Great take-down moves. And I can tell you, some of those arm and hand holds HURT!!

I thought you were supposed to pull the cord and release the Tiger? Got that from the Monty Python school of self defense.

But it only works if they are attacking you with a bananna.

These drills are taught by tradtion martial arts schools. Sadly, most schools today are "sport" and not tradition martial arts. The theory is it is quicker to act than to react. Of course, it does not always work and lots of practice is needed to maintain the skill. The last thing you want to do is try to disarm a person with a knife while you are empty handed. You will get cut.

Yeah... But it is better to get a few cuts on your hands than to get throated.
