Cocaine/Cartel dream boat in 80s.Potaatoe, Potahtoe...
Worked at Donzi in the mid 80's for a while, got more than one ride in some pretty mean ass boats I can tell you. One I remember was a smallish cigarette style with twin BIG BLOCK CHEVYS... Holy Mother of God...
Talk about sound and fury significant of a perma-grin, and a sore back.
Ended up with a 22 footer with a single 454 big block Chevrolet, more than enough to get into trouble with. I miss that boat.
Some need reminding of 'Big Boat Rule'The Rules can't fix stupid.

To be sure, when we tested some of the hotter builds, we always posed the question whether or not it would be outrunning the Coast Guard (or perhaps rival "entrepreneurs") on some dark and starry night.Cocaine/Cartel dream boat in 80s.

The B-29 is on the list (appears as B29).Why no B-29? That has been my favorite WW II A/C since the 1960s when I first became aware of the history.
The Spit was a great interceptor. The P51 was the right bomber escort at the right time. The Thunderbolt was a great FIGHTER.Surprised to see the leader is the P47. I would have guessed P51 or Spitfire.
Not a lot of folks know that the P-51A/B/C/D and A-36 were the dominant FIGHTER in CBI, along with P-40. The P-47 was at best an afterthought in the CBI while even A-36 flew escort to A-20, B-25/26.The Spit was a great interceptor. The P51 was the right bomber escort at the right time. The British should have begged borrowed or stolen the plans in 1940/1 and given them to Hawkers. BTW what is CBI?Not a lot of folks know that the P-51A/B/C/D and A-36 were the dominant FIGHTER in CBI, along with P-40. The P-51 was perhaps the most complete and versatile of any fighter in context of LR Escort, Interceptor (CBI), CAS, Tac recon, LR Escort). FW 190 and P-47 and P-38 are in the argument, maybe F4U.

As a sailboater in my younger years, I know that having the legal right-of-way doesn't mean that you demand it in every situation. The Rules can't fix stupid.
