It's quite typical for the photobucket.com site. Also I can't see them ....

Pics were there, but gone now. Happens a lot with Photobucket, much better to upload direct.

I think the error was caused by wrong generated links by the Photobucket site. Similar to these with links to Ki-100 shots posted by Vinnye in the Aircraft Pictures section. Now all is fine with them here.

I made a dry fit that only served to confirm what I read in the 'reviews' :D .

Then I started painting with the XF-22.

Nice. I assume you mean that the reviews say the fit is good and that your dry fitting confirmed that?

Looks good, and I also assume what Andy assumes!
I'd guess that Tamiya will have spent a lot of time getting this right, or as 'right' as it can be and still be priced relatively reasonably, with ease and accuracy of fit being paramount.

im just happy that someone is seriously building an IL-2. it made a very significant contribution to the soviet war, yet routinely gets canned around here.

i think this kit will come together very nicely

Yes. The fit is very good :D.

After painting many parts with Tamiya XF-22 started the construction of the 'office' of the pilot.

I started with lights and shadows.
