Hello everyone I have an original F8 canvases canopy cover from 5/31/1942 from the department of the US Air forces and wanted to know if it is collectable or not

When you say "F8" are you referring to the Mosquito F-8 or the canopy cover is model number F8? I don't believe Mosquito F-8's were around in 1942.
A picture of what you have would help.

Sorry meant 1944 here's a picture

How much do you think it's worth it saw combate in the war does $1,000 sound to high or 2 low ?

Your cover is for a P-47D-25-RE (but will fit other versions.). There were 385 -25's built S/N's 42-26389/26773. It appears the only -25's that have survived are on display in Brazil.

The closest P-47 operators to Eureka would be down in Chino.
