Italeri Spitfire MkV 1/72 scale

I made this 5 years ago, my first plane for 18 years and just built it really from the box and did the best I could, but then as I found pics in old books I had of the original plane I took a bit more care to get the paint right and scrath built the air filter as the one in the box was wrong for Ian Gleeds Spitfire. I have to admit I have only completed one other plane since then and have two others half built. Imust say i like to have background story for the models I make.

First, welcome to the forum, and good to see you're straight in with a model. That Spit of Gleed's looks great, reminds me of one I did back in the 60's, though your's is better! Hope you going to join in the fun of the Group Build, there's plenty of time with four months. In fact there's one member here woho will probably have built 20 models by then! Don't know how he does it!!!
