I am an instructor at an Aviation Maintenance Technician school in Dallas. We have a Jacobs R-755-9 on a stand and we need a starter. Specifically we need to replace the gears in the reduction mechanism. Any ideas?

Have you tried Wentworth Salvage? Also there is a place outside of Denver called Duff's Aviation. They have all kinds of old stuff hanging around.

easy to get. go on ebay. they are for sale all the time. i may have one. whats the rotation and jaw size? 24 volt or 12?
