I remember my grandfather who was born in 1895 and knew his country's glorious days commented nothing about the ww2 until he passed away in 1979.

I now remember an IJN officer's testimony.
Girl students painted the Betty as soldiers were busy.
 
The man in white suits is Katsuo Okazaki(1897-1965) and was to appear on the USS Missouri later again.
He was an able diplomat and became Foreign Minister to cope with the U.S. government in 1952.
New era for bureaucrats began.
