KG100 and the Mediterranean.....

Was just wondering, with the Revell 1/48 Dornier Do 217-5, you get decals for two KG100 birds, one in Cognac, France and one in Athens, Greece, how active was KG100 in and around the Mediterranean? What aircraft did they use in that theatre?
