After taking a closer look at this photo recently, I noticed something I hadn't before. There is what looks to be a gear leg extended. I've talked with others in another forum about this, and most people think it is a gear leg. There a few things to consider, however. I can't tell if the gear is fully extended. I'm inclined to think it isn't because of the angle we are seeing it from. I also can't tell if the bottom of the plane is facing towards or away from the camera. If the bottom is facing towards it, then this shot is only possible if the Ki-43 is turning away from the camera. If the bottom is facing away, then this shot is only possible if the Ki-43 is turning towards the camera. The theories so far are that 1. Its a gear leg. 2. Its the silhouette of another plane flying behind. 3. Unknown field mod. I'm interested to hear your thoughts
