Figured I'd start a thread for car cruises and other events people have been to with their ride or feet depending
I'll start her off with shots from my local cruise night held on the first Tuesday of the month all year around.
First up I'll start with my car, its a 1977 Holden LX Torana. Its an Australian Muscle car and for the Americans its most comparable to say the Chevy Nova in terms of its idea/platform. Ie small car big engine.
Its pretty unique Australian design as it doesn't really copy anything styling wise, and no doubt a few of you will see some stuff that looks like scaled down American cars. Early Aussie cars took a lot of ideas from you fellas, quite rightly to!
And off we go. I'll posting shots I've taken of from recent cruises and if anyone else has some shots please post them up, the more the merrier!
I thought of this thread when we were at the Cable Air Show, and I thought of Aaron's great cars. These are some of the classic and customs cars at the show, hope you enjoy.
Heres a few more, Im pretty partial towards this bitch'n Hudson custom. A nice and tidy MG A, really love the old British marks. A a very cool Yenko, more to come of this one.
This is a 'photograph of a copy of a sketch' I did in 1995 of a mate's '34 Ford hot rod. Quality is reduced as such...
My mate Rod built her himself and took 'Best of show' at the 1993 NZ Hot Rod Championships with her. She's 'Deep purple' in colour.
(Picture looks grainy on the computer...d@mn. The original is alot smoother, looks almost real in places)
If someone could resize the bugger too, I'd appreciate it !!!
Cool, love that amphibian car. I want one!!! Drive to the lake, drive into the lake, do some fishing, drive out of the lake and home. No messing around at the boat landning. Plus it would make it easier to get away from the Police
49-51 Merc are some nice looking cars and make some of the best Hotrods/Customs IMHO.
