My father Robert Pollock was in this fighter group. Piloted p47s and later P51s. Found photo of him in British museum devoted to American airmen in the war. He was only in 1944-45

There is an old thread in this forum called "Loko Busters" - just follow the link. Maybe you'll find some interesting information there.
Your father was with the 79-th FS./20-th FG. and as per this good site he flew a P-51D s/n 44-15431, coded MC-K, named Oscillatin' Oscar - you already have this information from the American Air Museum in Britain. I'm just adding it to make it understandable for the rest of the forum members.
