Airman 1st Class
I'm looking for the SBU-1 pilot's handbook.
I know it exists because I copies about 10 pages from it at the Smithsonian, but I did not get the whole thing for some reason.
Rare 1935 Chance Vought Aircraft Pilots Handbook SBU-1
is evidence that at least one copy is "out there."
Please let me know if you have it, or anything else from 1936 or before. What I have uncovered is that except for the SBU-1, the oldest US manuals are from 1937. There were only 4 that year.
B-17
SBU-2
TBD-1
NJ-1
I have all 4, but I'm trying to figure out if there is anything even older. 1936? Anything besides the SBU-1 from 1935?
For the RAF, the oldest Pilot's Notes I know is a Hurricane from 1939. (Not counting older erection manuals.)
Thanks.
