The poster of those pics on there is a short-lived former member here. Wasn't here long enough to find out where he got all these excellent pics.
 
Yep, some real good ones. It would be interesting to find out where he got them from (there's another frequent poster of images on this site who just downloads them from the internet and posts them here with text from the internet). Most were originally Crown Copyright, although ownership these days is with either IWM, the RAF Museum or FAA Museum. The pics of the Spit PR.XIX and Lancaster turrets and the Mosquito in colour are definitelyy post war aircraft, the Mossie is RR299 that crashed in 1996. John Dibbs of the Plane Picture Company took that one, I think. Some of them are from the Charles Brown collection, which is held by the RAF Museum.
 
Poor Old Spike lives in Plymouth, if you are seriously interested in finding information about his posted pics I ask...
