Mike Mangold Crash

In case you haven't heard, Mike Mangold crashed and died in his jet yesterday in his L-39. 60 years old and VERY experienced. Military Top Gun. Numerous awards and Red Bull Air Race Champion, among other laurels. Not much news yet about why.

If Mike couldn't handle the emergency, almost nobody could.

Blue skies, Mike and we'll all certainly miss your face, shows, and great personality.

A bad day if ever there was one ...

I was his crew chief for 3 years, I'm devastated. This opens up old wounds. "They're dying all around me."
