    It's an aerial - upgraded CJs had those large top-and-bottom ones, not sure what they are for though... :?:

    I was unable to find what those aerials are. But I did find that the Nesher had similar aerials/antennas.

    The RAAF was always very pleased with their Mirage IIIs except for the political strings attached to them. Mirages of the RAAF never served in Vietnam because of French threats of of an embargo on spares.

    I think it fair to say, Australia will never again buy a European fighter because of that experience

    Explains why they nearly always flew with LR tanks slung underneath. I dont think we ever had too many proiblems with range. Not much more so than the current F-18s in service.
