Hill AFB museum is searching for an unserviceable B-17 tire with hopes it can be donated. I'm told size is 22 or 26 8.25-10. Appreciate any help/ leads.

Thanks!

Joe

I believe that Boeing used 56 inch tire son B-17/B-29/B-47/B-52, they kept getting more plies. The B-47 still had expander tube brakes. A museum ought to be able to get some used B-52 tires and they probably have so many plies that it would be hard to notice if all the air had leaked out.
