Short clip from my first fever flight in a '51.

I had an hour in the back seat of the Collings Foundation '51 'Betty Jane' on a re-positioning sortie.

Cruising at 9500 feet alt with a few little puffy white clouds against a blue sky, in a polished '51 with a Merlin soundtrack (very loud even wearing 'cans' !.) and with Stu Eberhardt as my driver up the pointy end, I have to say, this was just f*****g awesome !.

And I had around 25 mins stick time to boot !!!.

I'm having severe problems both my home PC and also video editing software, so please be patient, there will be more :)

And I forgot to point out...crank up the volume :)

Fantastic Gary! I can't wait until you get your PC sorted out and we can see some of the video of the B-24 flights.

If its any consolation fella's, I still can't believe it happened either !!.

Hopefully, I've sorted out the video editing hassles so here's the next short clip.

Straight and level, cruising along, watching the USA roll beneath the wings. Was I happy ?...yes indeedy !!!

You can't see it but there's about a half inch diameter circle of movement at the top of the stick, where there is no friction at all. To make her move in any direction, I literally only had to nudge in the direction I wanted to go and as soon as I felt any resistance...she was already moving that way !!. So incredibly responsive, you only have to think...and she's on it !. Awesome springs to mind :)
