Not our aircraft. The cheek guns and the ammunition boxs had been removed in the aircraft we used giving the navigator and me a lot more room. You can see the back of the navigator's chair in the lower left hand corner.Is that pic from your actual aircraft Bill or is it a different one?

The waist gunners had the biggest problem. They did have to be mindful of their presence.What did the crews do with all the spent cartridges rolling around underfoot ?
Sweep them away to out of way areas if you had the time ?
Or just learn to watch your step, and live with it ?
