Nachtjagd Bf 110 and the Mediterranean....

All this gum beating (and building, you know who you are! ) about our beloved '110, has made it pop up in my noggin again, as a nightfighter....

Which were the nightfighter units in the Mediterranean area using the '110 and where we're they based?

From what I can find, the Med was NJG 2's area, they did not fly Bf-110 but Do17 and Ju88's for the most part check out each of the sites below for closer review.

Got the wing radeators on and the wing tips on and the ailerons and bomb rack.

Ok got a question on the cyber hobby nachtjager they put a fg2 radar on it. The information I have says that the D's never had radar, they did have an IR on them, but no radar. Now Dragon is know to do models of things that were just drawing board stuff. Any info on this would be of great.

Question should be in your build thread - it'll probably get missed here.
Off the top of my head, the 'D' didn't carry radar as a standard fit, Dragon may have included a common sprue of parts from a different kit, quite a normal; procedure.

Found this,

1./NJG3 operated in the Mediterranean area between 2.41 and 10.41 (2.41 - 5.41 Sicily, Argos [X. Fliegerkorps]; 5.41 - 8.41 Benghazi [Fl. Fü. Afrika], 8.41 - 10.41 Derna [Fl. Fü. Afrika]). 2./NJG3 operated in the Smolensk area from 2.42 - 3.42 (Luftwaffenkommando Ost), and was stationed at Wittmundhafen 3.42 to 4.44 (1. NJ-Div., from 5.42 2. JD). 3./NJG3 was detached at Kastrup/Copenhagen, at least between 8.43 and 3.44 (2. JD).

They flew Bf 110's in the Mediterranean, by looks of it....
