Need help to ID what could possibly be a part of a WW2 aircraft

Hello, This part has been found in the Vosges Mountains, North Eastern France. Could this be a WW2 aircraft part, and if so, which type of aircraft ?

Interesting irony that it has a Star of David stamped on it.

Many German parts were stamped with star of David, most likely in secret as there was no other way to protest. My Walther P-38 is stamped on the barrel under the flat spring. It was made in the Walther factory 1941. A friend and model club member bought a Kueblewagen and did a complete restoration and found the star of David in six places. The irony is he is Jewish and collects WW2 German memorabilia and has built German aircraft models with accurate insignia.

Technically though, that marking is not the star of David (dueling triangles) but a hexagram. Hexagram marks were used on firearms for, quite often, passing test firing and on edged weapons to indicate Damascus steel. I have no idea what it would indicate on an aircraft part but it's possible it might be specific to the manufacturer or even the assembly line.
