They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
I know I'm a day late, but I spent yesterday thinking a lot about my father. He was in the US Navy in WWI, serving on battleships. He even got to stand for review by the King of England, when the king visited my dad's ship. I just wish he had lived long enough to meet the lady who became my wife, and to meet our crazy, uniquely bizarre and wonderful sons. He would love their sense of humor, but would blame ME for it...just as I blame him for mine.
Here in the USofA Veterans Day Nov 11th happens to fall on a Sunday so it will be observed today November 12th.
To all of you on the Forum that served in the military of any country my most sincere THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE
Vietnam was my war and as such its Veterans will always have a special place in my heart.
So to my Vietnam Veteran Brothers and Sisters
Ayup. But when it happens it's usually got something to do with men, and it doesn't happen anywhere near so often as "guy" fights. When it DOES happen, it's usually total war; no pushing, pussyfooting, or posturing: "go nuclear" and get 'er done. And it stays private and doesn't "go contagious" into a general brawl.
A lot less damaging to the public civility.
Cheers,
Wes
