    Hi, folks!

Just completed this enough to share it last night (actually, at 06:00 today after no sleep). I'm no Luftwaffe expert, so I'm eager to hear from those who are - and everyone else, too.

I'm trying to depict a pre-dawn/moonlit moment here. I know our subject isn't technically a night fighter - but with a lightening sky and attacking RAF Mosquitoes I'm betting on these guys taking to the air in haste.

    Thanks!

    -Ron

It's beautiful! However I'm not sure JG 54 did Mosquito interceptions though... perhaps JG 300/301 markings might be more appropriate?

Actually, there were a number of Mosquito encounters by the "Grunherz" around the Holidays of '44...

And that's a great looking picture!

Great picture indeed. Though Messerschmitt should be shown with blue "Defense of the Reich" fuselage band just behind the Balkenkreuz I believe.

Not in 109's. When JG54 were finally deployed back in Europe they were equipped with the Fw190A/D.
