In the book "The Bomber Aircrew Experience" is the attached diagram.

The thing looks even more complicated to operate than I imagined!

My hat's off to Bill Runnels and the others who learned to use the bombsight, and to do so under combat conditions. It certainly was not the era of point and click!

Thank you for the kind words. If I could master it so could you. Promotional flyers suggest it had 2,000 parts, cost $10,000 each in 1940 and 50,000 were produced. One of the more challenging tests at Bombardier School Graduation involved identification and written fix for 20 malfunctioning bombsights set up in a room. It was a timed test. The ringer was one of the sights was okay.:oops:
