I'm not 100% sure where to place this, so if a mod or admin thinks there's a place this will be better served, please move it there. But I remember reading in drgondog's Mustang book that an early NAA design study for what would basically become the Merlin P-51 family was called the "Packard Pursuit". It did bear broad resemblance to the Merlin Mustangs as a whole (from what I remember it looked in side profile a lot like a P-51H). But one, I'm wondering if any online documentation exists for it (since my copy of the book is currently not readily accessible), and two, if any technical info is floating around out there as well.
