Airman 1st Class
I have just discovered in my loft a 1/48th. scale Ta152 produced by a Japanese company called Phoenix, I forgot I had bought it - I think - about 1986/7.
It is an 'expoxy resin' kit and looks very accurate, dimensionally, against drawings and Trimaster/Dragon kits.
The surface detail has VERY fine etched panel lines, two canopies are supplied and the spinner/propellor assembly has been cast with metal rods to maintain rigidity. All that really needs to be done is to supply metal undercarriage legs or new wheels - the worst part of the casting - to make an excellent model.
Is this the 'oldest' 1/48th. kit of a Ta152?
Regards and a great 2012 to all,
