P-47 parts?

Hoping the community could help identify the propellers and parts I have acquired.My little research seems that these parts came from a P-47 Thunderbolt.Any help would be appreciated...Thanks Shannon

Yes, the "tooth pick" blade DWG No. C2721200 was used with the P-47C, D, G & K for the 12ft. 2in Curtiss Electric prop with the hub C542S-A34. The prop blade could be used with the DWG No. 714-1C2-12 interchangeably. The rest of the pieces doesn't look like the P-47 stuff.

You have missed one prop blade. The P-47 used the 4-blade props only. The P-43 Lancer had the 3-blade prop but the blades were of different DWG number.
BTW ... the P-47 had the prop blade cuffed. There is the lack of the cuffs for your blades hence the blade roots wrapped in the paper. What is more , for some reason I didn't notice there was a narrow strip below the yellow painted blade tip. The kind of marking was introduced at the end of 1943 IIRC.

The attached brochure will show you all the basics of a typical Curtiss Electric brand prop and its control system - the only significant difference is that in this brochure the hub only has three blade sockets.

The instrument panel looks a lot like the ones in the early Bell Model 206 series Jet Ranger. The USN began using a variant of Model 206 as the the TH-57 Sea Ranger for training purposes in the late-1960s or early-1970s. They also used a few as regular duty liaison and light transport.

If you look at your other parts you should find part numbers cast into the castings. If you post them there is a very good chance someone here will know what aircraft they come from.

If the prop blades are still serviceable they are worth a good bit in the warbird market. Curtiss Electric blades are getting rare.

As mjfur says if the blades are serviceable you could cash them out or better still exchange them for a complete prop made up from unserviceable parts.

If you do decide to do that first off make detailed photographs of the butt end of the blades so that whoever you deal with does not swap good blades for bad ones. Many shops are honest but there are always bad actors out there.

the 3/8" stripe under the yellow tip is the marking to identify they are Aeroproduct blades used on curtiss propeller set.
some P47B, C, G and D-1 to D-21 were fitted with C2721200
