P-51D part ID

Hello fellows,
Need help ID-ing this part that came from a crash site of an 15 AF P-51D in Europe. It has been suggested to me that it is a part of the wheel well cover hinge but I just can't see it as it looks way too complicated for that purpose.

In any case the part #'s should help some .
Will post some more pictures in further posts .

The part is indeed part of the landing gear door system. Part 106-33318 is stated to be "Bracket - Landing gear fairing door hinge support". It's part number 27 in the below diagram"

My copy of the P-51 D manual does not have 109-33554-1. I have 33553 and 33555 but not the one between.
