My home page is google when I fire up Explorer, and the PacMan theme blaring out scared the cr@p out of me. That would go down well in an open plan office!

Actually it would irritate me. I couldn't last more than the first three rounds, ever.

I gave my quarters to several other games though.
I remember how mad I got when they brought out the first 50 cent game instead of costing a quarter.

Wheels

Like 'Asteroids'! hated Pac-man.

One game was enough for me. Always liked Spyhunter myself in the arcade, or Dig-Dug, or Mario Brothers.

I'm with you Messy. I loved Galaga.

I hated:
Pacman - boring
Defender - I just sucked at it
Joust - I stunk at that game too
Donkey Kong - In fact, I hate all Mario games.
Tetris - probably my #1 most hated game.

Loved:
Galaga
Asteroids
Pole Position
Centipede
Space Invaders
Xevious

There were many more, but these stand out to me.

Side- and top-scrollers like Shinobi, Zaxxon, Sky Shark, and Black Tiger were always my favorites. Nowadays, you walk into an arcade, and there's 50 different versions of pretty much the exact same fighting game, or some cheezy racing game where you actually get to sit on a cheap plastic motorcycle or jetski, but the games cost a buck now. What happened to the days when arcade games were actually arcade games????
