Post #1089. Some good points to note. Yes, the pleated wire mesh/cotton gauze air filter in the intake is supported by that very basic alloy strap support. Crude, but I guess it worked.
Note the airman by the wheel has a distrustful look on the engine and a BCF fire extinguisher in his hand! Also, the tyre looks a little flat.
I don't think that the Airmen are actually pushing the pilot into the aircraft!
