I have a small wheel which I am trying to identify. Please see attached photographs.

The overall diameter accross the tyre is 10 inches.

The following is moulded on the wall of the tyre: 4.00 - 3 1/2, ELECTRONICALLY CONDUCTING, ZA7 and the letter V within a circle.

I would appreciate any help you may be able to give me to identify the origin of the wheel.

Dave, Thanks for your response. Could you tell me please the reason why this type of wheel could not have been used on aircraft.
I am not familiar with this website so if this is a duplicate reply please excuse me. Regards, George

Because of the wheel rim for instance. . Usually a such wheel rim is made of aluminium but not of steel. Judging by the rust it is made of steel.

Don't be too sure. AUCTION LINK -Irish

DaveT is absolutely correct. That hub is stamped steel (and has a rough finish which allows cracks to propagate) and thus never used on an aircraft.

It is possible the tyre was from an aircraft as electrically conductive tyres were mainly, but not exclusively, used on aircraft. They were, and still are, used also on refueling equipment and on any other equipment where eliminating or minimizing static electricity was needed.
