I know a few of us have gotten snow the last week or two including over in the Old Country. Post what ya have! Lets see how much snow ya got. Besides, our mates down in the former Penal colonies are needing some cooling, refreshing pictures! :)

These were taken at the height of the storm around the house. At the front door is the pre-wife along with the dog checking things out. This storm dumped 14 inches on top of the 28 we got on Saturday. This ain't the light powdery stuff - thick, heavy and wet, hence it doesn't look like much. But its a bit when shoveling! And they calling for more on Monday and possibly later in the week. Any kiwi wanna trade passports?

Here's my contribution - winter in Serbia (at least in my neighborhood anyway)...

Actually we were having quite mild winters with very little (if any) snowing over the last few years, but now we are reminded how real winter looks like. But this is nothing in comparison how it used to be once. I remember my grandfather's stories how winters were over here when he was young (he was born in 1918 ). Sometimes when you cleaned sidewalks from snow you couldn't see to the other side of the street, that high the piles of snow were. And the winter of 1941/42 was particularly harsh. Danube and Sava rivers were completely frozen that winter and measures had to taken to secure the bridges over Sava at Belgrade so they wouldn't be damaged or destroyed by ice.

Snow here got bad. Real bad.
This big fella bushwhacked me on my way into work (I walk), forcing me to beat the crap out of him and put him in a restraining headlock.

Pics from the snow that hit a couple weeks ago. What makes this amazing is here in Dallas we probably average less than 1 inch of snow a year. We got 12.5" in 24 hours.

The tree is in my front yard
Thats my house
That's my poor cold truck....

I got to shovel my first sidewalk!!

That snow looks pretty heavy or wet Thorlifter , don't envy you on that for shovelling , I wouldn't even shovell it cuz you know its going away in a day or two later in Dallas.

Haven't had much but what we've had we kept as the temp has been between -4c and 3c so its great for the kids in this neighbourhood as its only a block for some good tobagging or what ever device they use
