I've been questioning what the device on the right wingtip of the PBJ-1H is and it's been a question for quite some time. I've tried googling it quite a few times and in different ways but still haven't found a solid answer.

The SAC for the PBJ-1J: link
As it can be read on the SAC document for the -1J, the radar carried was the AN/APS-3.

That's what I've been thinking this whole time, I just didn't think it would be all the way over there. Thanks a bunch for the info!

AI and ASR radar dishes/aerials had to be mounted so that the radar's search cone was outside the arc of the props and other bits of the aircraft which would reflect the signal or return. That's why it was mounted in the nose or wing, or for air-to-ground radar, in the lower fuselage.
