Condolences to his family. He was one of the best I was able to see play. You will be missed!
This is kind of on and off the topic.
Ryan Sandberg was a classic ball player you just don't see much anymore. Baseball is sadder for it.
Each year I play in an APBA baseball tourney starting the first of January. The theme is Thanks For The Memories. Teams picked must have one or more players that died the prior year. Last year I made it to the finals "managing" the 1962 San Fransico Giants with the honored players of Willie Mays and Olando Cepeda.
