RAF fighters tropical scheme (A & B patterns ???)

Hello,

We know from mid-August 1941, the A pattern with camo scheme DG/OG/MSG is retained for ETO, but what about MTO camo scheme ?
It seems that the A & B patterns continue until mid or late 1942 in MTO (with DE/MS/Azure Blue-Sky blue...)
Maybe a stupid question but can we know the date or the serial from which only the A pattern was retained in MTO ?

Perhaps because they Middlestone was painted over the Dark Green on factory aircraft that had the old DE/DG/Sky schemes?
