Short range electrically powered commuter airliners will go into service within the next few years. So will short range 2 seat trainers. As for the very short ranged VTOL "Air Taxis" for travel within a city, I tend to think, 'Would I even take off in my Ercoupe if I knew I had only 15 min of fuel on board?" Admittedly, electrically powered aircraft do not have problems with slosh and fuel unporting, but they still better be VTOL if they have only 15 min of power on board.

I saw a vid on the Ercoupe. I'd feel safer in an Ercoupe.
