Read "Doomed at the Start: American Pursuit Pilots in the Philippines, 1941-1942" by William H. Bartsch and IIRC you will hear about the one kill scored by these former bound for Sweden fighters against the empire of Japan. One of my favorite books, though (if I remember correctly) his over use of the word "newbie" I found annoying.
