"Shooter"
I have been gone for a couple of days on a great adventure. I got in good with some great people out here on the west coast and went to the "Warbirds in Action" airshow at Minter Field in Shafter California. Photos from the show will be coming soon. But getting there and back was half the fun.
We took off from Brackett Field, in Pomona California in a Rockwell Commander 114, headed for the Cajon Pass, over the Tehachapi mountains, passing Palmdale and not far from Edwards AFB. It was a gorgeous day and springtime had the poppies in full bloom, with colors visible from 10.5k feet in altitude. We also saw a controlled burn in the Cajon Pass.
Here are some shots from the trip up, including the Commander.
