So as per the above site it's just a "Stecker" (2 Pole) = bipolar Plug, but not necessarily from an autopilot, correct?The Deutsche Luftwaffe (An excellent site) has been updated ,it would be a generic item for most aircraft. Results as per attached.

Thanks, I know now. On the first photo I couldn't imagine the size of it. I was thinking of dials, that type of bigger rotating elements. In fact it's much smaller - here it is:The rotating part possibly locks the connections together ie male /female with the thread ,so the cables cannot become loose or fall apart.. etc etc.

Mark, I want to add to the answers above that it can be just a part, not part of any particular plane.So as a general part none of the numbers relate it to a particular model of plane, will i be able to track this by some means or do the numbers not go into that much depth.
