Hi
I'd like to know the pose of the Sunderland front turret gunner when firing. Attached is a picture of the bombaimer's position. Either side there are platforms. I know the gunner had a fold-down seat higher up. My guess is that the seat is for observing from when on patrol. When in action he would stand on the platform while straddling the bombaimer or perhaps one or other of the platforms depending on the direction of fire. I don't think the turret is big enough for him to be completely above the bombaimer.
Anyone able to confirm?
Paul
