Nice little kit. Cheap as chips and builds well. Only let down by flimsy canopy.
I even tried a bit of chipping.

Sorry mate just about finished it.
I will say however that I found the kit superb,it went together very well with just a touch of filler required at the wing root. Good detail in the cockpit and some nice riveting on the surface. I haven't put the decals on yet so time will tell. Undercarriage is simple but very sturdy with a very solid fixing to the wheel bays. The instructions take a bit of getting used to and can be confusing, but it's a minor niggle. Can be built with a superbly detailed engine showing(I chose not to),but it's worth building as a standalone piece. As I previously said it's my first Zvezda kit and it will not be my last. All in all, excellent.

I've heard that about their early kits. As mentioned I'm about to start my MiG3 for the next GB. As I'm going to build mine as a captured aircraft you are more than welcome to have my decals. This should fit the Yak. There is some issue with the surface of the decals but I used decals in similar shaped on my Trumpeter Wyvern and they turned out OK.
