Nice clip! I am an avid die-cast collector but there is one aircraft I have never seen in diecast - the Banshee! Come to think if it I haven't seen the Phantom, either - except the newer one. I have the Panther in several scales, also one that depicts he aircraft in the "Toko-Ri" movie. But, if I remember correctly, it was a Banshee in the book which the movie was made after. I would have liked a Banshee.

Fred is right. Michener's original story was centered around Banjos. But by the time the movie was made, Panthers were far more available.

Sidebar: The film was shot aboard Oriskany when Jig Dog Ramage was CAG-19. He said the guys enjoyed meeting Mickey Rooney but would've preferred some face time with Grace Kelly...
