This lot are from The Fighter Collection (TFC) at Duxford. For certain reasons that I wont go into here, most of the fleet was tucked up in the TFC hangar for the duration of Flying Legends. Which was a great pity on one hand.

But on the other hand was great opportunity to get some close ups of the 'planes for you modellers out there. things from close ups of wheel wells, to wing fold mechansims through to bare metal bodies.

The hangar is normally open (especially at FL events) and is great to wander through and see things like the Beaufighter...bl**dy hell, its huge !... the Jug, the Nimrod , all at close quarters.

Its a real pity that some of these babes where not allowed to fly as the guys at TFC put in a huge amount of effort to ensure that everything runs smoothly for this annual event.

Outstanding shots, Gary...thanks for taking the time to grab 'em and post them here!

As I look at that shop, and thesweet projects in all the bays, I realize that I am seriously in the wrong business...
